Why should I do breathwork?
If you suffer from stress and anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, lack of clarity and focus, relationship difficulties, repeated unwanted habits, depression and low mood, PTSD, addictions, insomnia, and chronic pain breathwork is for you. It helps with self-exploration and personal growth. Breathwork is a journey that helps you go inward deep into your body to help resolve any blocks that are keeping your from being free.
What can I expect the atmosphere or vibe going to be like?
This breathwork session will be held in a quiet and comfortable yoga studio. It will be a space where you can relax without any distractions. There will be dim lighting and music with a deep beat playing to help guide you into your own rhythm of breath. We will be collecting as a community but this is an individual journey and I ask that you respect others’ personal space while the session is taking place.
What breathing technique will we be doing?
We will be practicing a specific breathing technique that involves deep, rhythmic breaths. The first half of the session with be tapping into your sympathetic nervous system to release and clear any tension in the body. The second half of the session with be a gentler breath that helps repattern your beliefs and taps into your parasympathetic nervous system. There will also be some breath holds that help with clarity and stillness. During the session, I will guide you on the pattern and rhythm of the breath. Trust the process and allow yourself to surrender to the experience.
Are there any physical sensations I will feel?
It is common to experience various physical sensations during breathwork, such as tingling, warmth, getting cold, cramping of the hands and toes, puckering of the mouth, or light-headedness. These sensations are natural and a sign that the breathwork is facilitating a shift in your energy.
What about emotional sensations that might come up?
Breathwork can sometimes bring up emotions, memories, or feelings that have been stored within. It is normal to experience a range of emotions during the session, including joy, sadness, or even a sense of catharsis. Trust that whatever arises is part of your healing process.
What happens after the session ends?
After the breathwork session, take some time for integration and reflection. You may want to journal your experiences, rest, or engage in gentle activities that promote grounding and self-care. Allow yourself the space to process any insights or shifts that occurred. I am always available after a session if you want to connect or need more support.
